The perfect dehumidifier for all temperatures!
Sorption - effective even at low temperature
Ionization - helps remove odors
HEPA filter - protects both you and the dehumidifier also against dust and pollution
Hose - if you want you can drain the water to a drain, you don't need to empty the container
Hygrostat - let the dehumidifier control itself with the hygrostat. Just set how dry you want it. The rest will take care of itself.
Sorption
Traditional dehumidifiers use a compressor to dry the air. It works well in most cases, but poorly when it gets cool (below 15 degrees). Arida S8L uses ice for a sorption, which makes it effective at all temperatures, down to zero degrees.
Ionization
Ionization is smart for two reasons:
- Where it is damp there is often a smell. This can be a basement smell, a boat smell or a musty smell. When you get a dehumidifier, a lot of the smell will go away. If you activate the ionization, the odor removal will be much more effective. Our experience is that boaters love this feature to reduce boat odors.
- When the negative ions are released into the air, the small dust particles will bind to large particles. These large particles then become heavy and fall or are trapped in the air filter. It is the small particles that are dangerous to your lungs.
HEPA filter
The Arida S9L comes standard with a HEPA filter. This cleans the air, so the S9L becomes a hybrid air purifier and dehumidifier. This will protect your health and it will also protect your dehumidifier from building up dust inside. You then get a longer lifespan of the dehumidifier. The filter can be vacuumed, but must be replaced eventually. Then we have new filters you can buy.
Hose
If you have the dehumidifier in a place where you don't visit often, such as in a basement or in the boat, you can connect a hose. Then you direct the water to a drain and you don't have to empty the water tank every day. It comes with a hose in the box.
Humidistat
It's important to keep it dry, but it's also important not to get too dry. That's why the Arida S9 has a hygrostat, so you can set how dry you want it. The dehumidifier then ensures that you have an even and stable air humidity. (A hygrostat controls the dehumidifier in the same way that a thermostat controls a heater.) In general, we recommend that the hygrostat be set to about 50% relative humidity.
